What can a volunteer do?

Why am I needed?

Many people need help wither occasionally or long term. There may be young people, families, elderly people, people with disabilities or those who are ill - in fact, anyone.
Many voluntary organisations also need help with their activities.

Why volunteer?

You can help an individual, a family or one of many voluntary organisations. The choice is yours!

Who can be a volunteer?

Anyone. Volunteers can be of any age, male or female, from any background, working or non-working. Previous experience is not essential.

Can I claim expenses?

You may be able to claim out of pocket expenses, such as bus fares, telephone calls, petrol allowance.
